Roz was born in England but grew up in Northland, New Zealand. She spent her childhood roaming farms, bush and the beach fostering a love of the outdoors. Before she was 21, she bungy jumped, sky dived, qualified as an open water diver, learnt to fly a plane and sailed on a 33ft yacht from New Zealand to Australia. After a car accident she was diagnosed with epilepsy. This changed her world. Slowly but surely, she has expanded her comfort zone and is back in the outdoors and loves sharing it with her family and friends. She is excited to be a part of Outdoor Mindset as she loves inspiring people to live amazing and adventurous lives.

Amy lives in New Hampshire on a fruit farm and enjoys being outside almost every day.. She is happy working in her garden, running on local trails, paddle boarding on the river, cross country skiing in the winter or just relaxing outside with good friends. Amy believes outdoor activities are essential for mental health especially when coping with a neurological diagnosis. She can't wait to meet new OM members and ambassadors.

Peter is a long-time mountain biker, having fallen in love with the activity at age 12, after his first muddy ride on a section of the Bruce Trail, just outside of Toronto, Canada. Growing up, he spent plenty of time immersed in the Ontario outdoors, canoeing, hiking, skiing/snowboarding, bouldering, and of course, biking. After university, he spent time in several eastern Canadian cities (Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa/Gatineau), before settling in Waterloo, Ontario. Peter was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy in 2019, after dealing with symptoms for several years. To help cope with this diagnosis, Peter re-focused on getting outdoors, on his bike, whenever possible. Peter currently spends his time adventuring with his family (often on bikes, sometimes in kayaks). He is excited to bring Outdoor Mindset to Ontario, and help create a community for mutual support and adventure.

Peter was born in Denver, Colorado and currently lives in Salida, Colorado. During the winter you can find him snowboarding and working at Salida Mountain sports, a local backcountry ski shop. In the summer he is drawn to rivers where he enjoys white water rafting, river stand-up paddle boarding, and river surfing.

After being diagnosed with epilepsy at the age of 19 he has found that being in nature is important for his overall well-being and happiness. Pete’s three legged Labrador Chloe is always by his side and is a huge inspiration on how to be resilient and live life to the fullest. Finding Outdoor Mindset was a huge step in his journey with epilepsy which he is very happy to be apart of.
