Golfing with Stephen

OM Scholarships allow our members to develop new interests and passions. Meet Stephen, who discovered not only the benefits of golfing, but the unexpected peace and strength that he also gained from yoga. During his golf season, Stephen found joy and health on the green. At the start, he dove into the world of yoga, discovering its benefits for golfers. With poses like the pigeon and bird dog, he targeted common issues in his back, shoulders, and knees. As he flowed through poses like chair and warrior 2, he felt his body and mind align, preparing him for the game ahead. With a refreshed body and focused mind, Stephen visualized his ideal game, setting the stage for success. Afterward, he'd head to the putting green, where he honed his skills for 30 minutes, striving for precision in each stroke.

With pictures capturing his dedication on the green, Stephen felt ready for a round of golf. Preferring nine holes, he embraced the physical and mental benefits of walking the course, pushing his cart and tallying over 10,000 steps along the way. And while sinking a putt on the first try brought a smile and a chuckle, it was the overall experience of the game that left him feeling grateful for the scholarship that made it all possible.
