Jamie McDevitt-Galles came across Outdoor Mindset while searching for a community that understood both the joy of the outdoors and the realities of life after brain trauma. Following the removal of a rare pituitary brain tumor, she discovered that healing isn't about returning to who you were before. It's about finding new ways to connect with nature, community, and yourself.

Jamie brings lived experience and more than a decade of nonprofit leadership in philanthropy, partnerships, and strategic communications. She currently leads technical grants and proposal development at RMI, helping secure support for global clean energy initiatives. She is passionate about strengthening Outdoor Mindset's impact so more people living with neurological challenges can experience the confidence, connection, and belonging that time outdoors can foster. Jamie lives in Wisconsin with her husband and son and loves to camp, hike, swim, ski, do yoga, and garden.
