• What: Dixon Reservoir Loop is a flat 2-mile leisurely walk around Dixon Reservoir. Let's chat, see some cute prairie dogs, and maybe even some bird watching! We will meet in the parking lot - we'll have a bright green Outdoor Mindset sign.

  After our walk, we'll go to The Colorado Room (about 15 minutes away), Ambassador's Jeff's favorite local hangout in Fort Collins, for some food and drinks! Here's The Colorado Room's website for more information.

  • Dixon Reservoir Parking Lot (click here)

    • From I-25 in Fort Collins: exit at Prospect Road and go west to Overland Trail. Head south on Overland Trail to CR 42C/Dixon Canyon Road and go west. Dixon Canyon Road will curve south and just before it curves west again, turn east into the parking lot.

• What To Bring: It's Colorado, so keep an eye on the weather! Who knows what late November will hold? Wear layers and good hiking or walking shoes. As always bring water.

  Bring cash or a card if you want a delicious post hike snack/drink!
